These days, I just found a good TV show and enjoyed watching it. Its name is "The walking dead"．Maybe it is too intense for some audiences, but for me it could be ok. I keen on that not just because its zombie style, but the description of people's psychological change in the certain environment. It might have two ending,people die out because of their selfishness; other than that, they create a new world together.

I feel bad about this test especially the writing.Reading this time is simpler than the last two model exam, but the listening is just better than writing ...
Eh... do not feel good about this “kill exam”...

The final exam is coming. No anxiety is impossible. I feel nervous before every exam, no matter it is important or not. I want to get as higher score as I can in one exam. Hopefully, this time I can get a good score.  

This week, two exams are coming to me, so there are lots of stuff I have to do.Perhaps it is too much for me , I do not where I should begin.
Today's IELTS listening is really suck. I only got three correct answer. Therefore, the main task for me for tonight is listen the suck one again. Afterwards, do some intensive listening. Furthermore, I also need do extra reading in order to maintain reading speed.

Prodigies, which can be a special group, exist in this world. I already heard some story about talented children. In China, there used to have a institute for cultivate gifted children, but the project failed because the aim focus too much on achieve academic goal thereby ignoring to activate some social ability of those young children. After graduated from that project,although they have high intelligence, the kids don't know how to chat with other people and take care of themselves. Therefore, they led a lonely life when they got old.        

Today's bedfore is about choose adjective or adverb. It is not as confusing as last week stuff. Moreover, the differences between adjective and adverb is evident,but there still have some special situation like the be verb which is the linking part of the sentence. At this time, people should make the choice carefully because the word behind the be verb may modify the object which need adjective rather than adverb.

Today I spent lots of time working on my essay. There are many resources from website I can use as the quotation, but it is not easy to add it into the essay. I tried to add some sentences which have the relationship with the paragraph, but it seemed not appropriate. Also because I didn't do things on the last weekend, I forgot many contents. Therefore, when it seemed not fit, I deleted them all, and went through the whole article. It's really a big work.
As for the references, I fixed it moderately well, so I hope the references can be no mistake this time.

We went to playland today. All the things there are too exciting for me.It reminded me of the article about zero-gravity roller coaster. In my opinion, that is unsafe, everyone having desire to try it should accept a physical test, but most of parks just have the warning notices in front of the entertainment facilities . Furthermore, many people don't know their physical condition when they take the exciting facility, so it  must be a problem. Also friends sometimes can do help to create the impulsion, but not everyone is suitable for joining risky things.

Today we did the model kill exam. Actually it is easier than that one we did, but I still can not finish all of the part because my reading speed is not as much as the demand. As for the listening, I forgot there still have two page on the reverse side, so I missed lots of content about the next page. With regard to the writing, two main I just focused one. It happened when I composed the outline. I found it's hard to separate the point.
All in all, everybody may feel ok about the test.

Today's bedford is about difference between pronouns like I and me. Before I started to do it, I think it is quit easy. Afterwards, when I made mistakes one by one, I went through it again, so everything is ok. However, the modifier is more confusing than the pronoun, both sentences seems correct, and the explanation is not so clear. Especially the dangling modifier, the correct answer sounds having some problem. All in all, the score of this week is quit low. I got some lowest score like 5...

Today I got my percentage 55.6%. It's quit low, but that's within me expectation. I didn't follow the instruction all the time at the beginning of this class, and I just started it a bit late. Anyhow, if it is possible, I would like to take this class again. I really learned many things in this class like writing outline, two times draft and citation which I've never tried before I'm in China. The most important thing is I know how crucial obeying teacher's words is. Maybe I can't abide by all the time like speaking Chinese, but I'll try to control myself later.

I found the stuff in bedford is not fresh for me, and it is not easy to make mistake. In addition to bedford, the essay can be a problem. At first, I just wrote down what teacher said in class, but when I started to write the confusing things came out. The solar activity have no evident energy rising; however, the evaporation has accumulated in atmosphere more than it used to. I assumed that the carbon dioxide makes the earth warmer, then the water evaporate more than long time ago. In one word, human are still the main cause...

Today I watched the movie called Snow White and the Huntsman.The movie basically changed the whole fairytale story,but it's still good. I also learned many words from that movie. Meanwhile, I met some problem when I watched the movie. The queen said "ruin me", and she also said "destroy me". I think "ruin" just can use to describe human's emotion or feeling whereas destroy usually use in indicating destruction of building. The only difference between "ruin" and "destroy" is "ruin" can use as a noun while "destroy" can not.

The bedford say using the active voice unless I have a good reason for choosing the passive, but I heard someone say using passive in my composition can make me getting a higher score. It is exactly the opposite compare bedford's rules, so I don't know should I use passive sentence in IELTS test.

As for the parallel ideas, I would say I didn't notice that when I wrote something before. Now I know that it is better to make ideas paralleled when I use a conjunction.

In one word, bedford help me a lot this week. I hope things could be much better in the future.

We did the model kill exam today. After that, I know how hard I should study. From the beginning of this test, I did not have enough time to finish the first reading because just got the main idea took me lots of time. Then the listening part, I was confused by the listening ,and I did not know the words in that listening sometimes. It could be extremely kill when someone always meet unfamiliar words in a listening. Afterwards, things kept going like it's way. All in all, I have to work hard. Otherwise, I can not do very well after I enter the university.

Today I started edit my first draft. I found the topic this time can be little easier than last time. But it still need compare similarities and differences. The last essay confused me because both are war, but this time it's comparison and contrast between nature and human. That could be more clear and intelligible. Therefore, I hope I can do much better this time.
As for grammar study, I think the boundary between run-on sentence and sentence fragments is fuzzy. These two things seem alike. Run-on sentence is not a complete sentence, so do fragments.

In order to give myself some spare time next week, I finished my Monday's bedford assignment and wrote one extra blog. Like the grammar sentence fragments, I believe some students may meet this kind of problem before. For example, I always forget add "s" behind when the verb's subject is the singular form. Others , for instance, may forget the be verb or add two verb in one sentence. That does not mean foreign students can not get over the grammar. I firmly believe practice and accumulate more during study time and daily activity can be an effective way for students to improve their language skill.

As for today's presentation, it’s really rushed. We decided to change the topic just before the day we have to show it. So it was lack of preparation. Taught By this lesson, we knew that we should choose some simple article as our topic. If everything is not well prepared, although the topic can be appealing,there have no possibility to attract our audiences. This time I got a new partner, hopefully, we can do better next time. The topic don't need crazy simple, but we need prepare it when we start to organize the outline.The practice of presentation must be in advance.

Yesterday I did the life expectancy calculator. Interestingly, I got 88. Unfortunately, I do not 
want to live like this long. Life could be enjoyable to me, but it's still too long. Someone got 80 
whereas some got 83. It means I have to live lonely in my last few years. Today, I reorganized 
the format of my final essay. I thought I obeyed all the rules in that list because it printed 
perfectly. But I realized there still have many problems when teacher checked the electronic 
one on the screen.

We went to the library with my partner today. Basking in the sunshine, we rewrote the article about brain research,it seems hard to understand because everything in that essay is concerning craving and how scientist try understanding this craving, but whatever it's still no problem now. Then, in the brief rest time, we enjoyed a cup of ice cream and tasty hot dog. What's more, we also read the Bedford book, today's grammar is about sentence type. At the beginning, we got confused about compound sentence and complex sentence. So we went through the whole unit and checked it online. Now it is clear. Sometimes, work together can be effective.

Chaos day

My partner and me got zero about today's outline. I don't know what should I say. Everything happened as I ignored the rule.
As for the school, I would say I was already chose Alberta so I don't care about that.
Concerning other things occurred today, I really have no idea. We went over the vocabularies that appeared in the reading and I got the meaning of empirical. Meanwhile, I knew someone's score going to be fail. Hopefully, it's not me.
It's time for finding out the way or just giving up and screwing everything up.

Today we hand in our essay draft. The inspection result is no one passed it by making mistake in the format. Frankly, I didn't pay enough attention to the rules that teacher shared with us online. At the same time, I ignored the citation thing while I was writing. That's the easiest thing we can do. Next time， I will do better like the
radio said teacher give students comment as they think the idea in that essay is worth for a reply. Students should feedback too. To show they care about the things that teacher just said. Everything will be better gradually.

Confusing thing today

I found some students do not use their brain while studying(sometimes include me). It is a dangerous signal to be a robot in acquiring knowledge. Like writing essay1, I can not come up with any ideas without the examples teacher already gave us. Remember years ago my dad reminded me brought my brain when I went to school. After that, I try figuring out what matter it is. But till today, it still confuse me. Meanwhile, many classmates going through it now. What's the key problem, sometimes its limitation of knowledge but most of time it's lack of thinking.

Improvement

Today we took the listening exercise, I realized that something tiny had happened. For example, two weeks ago that we firstly did our listening quiz, I couldn't catch  

up the words that speaker just said. But things became different this time, I can focus on some details the paragraph mentioned. Furthermore, taking notes seemed easier, because what point should I take get more and more clear in my head. I'm going to take IELTs next month, hopefully, I can get a better score by doing more listening exercise and writing more essay, composition before it come.

Say hi to uncle

Today we handed in our second outline which still have many problems with the format.
But after the teacher's demonstration, everything became more clearly. Unlike the things in my mind, each bullet should have the connection with others in that point.
Meanwhile, I also can mention some typical example. What's more, we have to learn how to explain our perspectives briefly and clearly. It's really useful in extracting  main idea from articles or some essays.
As for the uncle Bedford, I would say sorry. Because I ignore it for a while. But tonight I get enough time to fix it.

Experience about today

Today's presentation should be a not bad experience in my life. The only thing I prayed in my heart is “God, why the time pass like that slow”.
Next time, the topic is about academic stuff which might be easier. Surprisingly, two people involved in that presentation. It is really a brilliant idea.
As for other things, I realize that write essay not only just write things down, it also improve my vocabulary by looking up some words I don't know and make me do brain storm more than I used to. The second point is extremely important. An academic article point that people who are lack of using their brain having higher risk to suffer senile dementia than others who did.
    

Stressing anxious day today

Today we got lots of work to do. One essay about history and another regarding stress in daily live. It's ok to practice my writing skill. But while someone talking about history. The general thing they do is asking question like when that event occured.It's quite diffcult to me. I always can not remember the time exactly. Maybe I  
am old or something.  
When it comes to tomorrow.Things become suspenseful. We have a presentation on that day. Anxious... The only word I could say. Frankly, this is my first to do presentation in English.

Funny thing today

Teacher got mad with us. It's funny because of the pattern. Exactly the same as my math teacher in primary school. The way our math teacher did is saying nothing, leaving quiet. After he calmed down, went back to classroom， smiled to everybody， then， started class again. Every time, when we met this problem, the only thing we can do is waiting.

As for writing, I think the model can be really helpful in IELTS' writing.Thanks for that.  

Feeling about today

The most impressive thing to me today is the melody of guitar.You are really a good player. I like the person who are versatile. I try playing guitar. But I can't keep it eventually. 

Concerning study, frankly, I just did a little stuff about English. So nothing talk about. 

For IELTS，I found the part2 in speaking is very hard. Although I did enough preparation,when I talking with examiner face to face, I got nothing to say. Sadly, I got 5.5 in speaking this time. I can't help crying. Even though I make a conversation with examiner in Chinese, I don't know what should I say. IELTS speaking, the bottleneck to me......    

Day2

Today, I found out that study pattern in western country is more likely to acquire knowledge by students themselves. They should preview the lessons that they will take next day. At the same time, write down all the problem they met during self-study periods. Other than teacher crammed the knowledge to students' head, they are eager for getting more skills.
As for the listening, in my opinion, it is hard to know what bullets should I cover, moreover, making notes also need me to improve. In a word, I have to good good study, day day up.
Regarding presentation, I got what I have to do and I hope I can do better than that before.

My first impression about the class

Before I attended EAP. I've already heard someone talking about things like it's hard to study and many works should I finish. Actually, it is. But, differing from ESL, it means more challenges for me. Meanwhile, it's a kind of way to make my life full.
In the class, we met frightful-styled teacher, rise and fall voice, black humour... Frankly, when someone wander in that time, it's so threatening. I think that is the function. For classmates, I just know some of them. But all they are funny, also with good English skill.
All in all, I would like to say I enjoy the time in EAP study. It is more than I expected.
